The International Grand
Prix Vila de Blanes will be held in the bay of Blanes from the 2nd
of January to the 5th of January 2008. It will be organized by the
Club Vela Blanes and the Catalan Sailing Federation.
1. RULES
1.1 The regatta will be
governed by “Rules” as defined in the ISAF 2005/2008 (RRS) Racing Rules.
1.2 Appendix P will be
applied.
1.3 Protests could be
resolved by mediation previous to the Protest Committee.
1.4 Use of personal
Buoyancy Aid will be required.
1.5 In case of conflict
between the Notice of the Race and the Sailing Instructions the Sailing
Instructions will prevail.
2. ADVERTISING
2.1 The International Grand
Prix Vila de Blanes is classified category C, in accordance to the ISAF
Regulation 20-advertising code.
Boats may be required to
display on each side of the hull:
- Advertising of the event
sponsor.
3. CLASSES
3.1 The International Grand
Prix Vila de Blanes is reserved for 420 Class and Europe Class.
4. ELIGIBILITY
4.1 The ISAF competitors eligibility code (ISAF Regulation 19) will apply.
4.2 Each competitor shall
be member of his National Class Association and, if relevant, of his National
Authority.
5. REGISTRATION
5.1 Pre entries:

5.1.2 Entry Fees are 60 €
for 420’s and 40 € for Europe.
Entry Fees shall be paid in
euros to Club Vela Blanes:

5.1.3 The organising
committee reserves the right to accept entries after the 29th of December.
5.1.4 It is required to
present a copy of your bank transfer with the Regatta Registration Form.
5.2 Confirmation of
Registration
5.2.1 Registration will be
take place at the Regatta Office.
5.2.2 Each skipper must
personally sign the Registration Form before 12:00 a.m. 2 January.
5.2.3 The following
documents are needed:

Federation Licence valid for 2007 (skipper and crew).
·
National Class Membership (skipper and crew).
·
DNI or Passport.
·
For foreign sailors: Third Part Liability Insurance coverage up to a
minimum of 300.500 Euro.
5.3 No skipper changes are
allowed.

The prize giving time is
estimated.
6.2 On the last day of
competition no starting sequence will given after 14:00, with the exception of
a General Recall of a race in progress.
7. EVENTS FORMAT
7.1 The Regatta will use
the fleet system and 12 races are scheduled. 2 races must be completed for the
Regatta to be valid.
8. SCORING
8.1 The low
point scoring system of Appendix A will apply (RRS Appendix A).
9. PRIZES
11.2 There will
be prizes for the first three boats in each class and the list will be hung on
the TOA before 12 am of the 2nd of January.
10. DISCLAIMER
10.1
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4,
Decision to race.
10.2 The
organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or
personal injury or sudden death in conjunction with or prior to, during, or
after the regatta.
